Privacy Policy — Gospel Library

Last updated: July 2026

Gospel Library ("the app") is a shared library catalog that lets members of a church browse the collection, check items out, and return them. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. It is written to be plain and honest — the app is a small community tool, not a commercial product.

Information we collect

When you create an account and use the app, we store:

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or any analytics or usage-tracking data. The app contains no advertising and no third-party trackers.

### Camera

If you are a library administrator, the app can use your device camera to scan an ISBN barcode when adding a book to the catalog. The camera is used only for live scanning at that moment. No photo or video is taken, stored, or transmitted.

How your information is used

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for marketing, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your information is stored (third-party services)

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as you have an account with the library. To have your account and associated personal data deleted, contact the library administrator or email alagusundaramu@gmail.com, and your account and personal information will be removed from the library's Firebase database.

Children's privacy

The app is intended for members of a church community and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Significant changes will be communicated through the library.
